The Apache Offroad coil conversion kit allows you to replace your factory rear air suspension with coil springs by creating a “spring seat” for your new coil.
This kit is a complete STOCK HEIGHT coil conversion. The springs included in this kit are take off 460 or 4runner springs, and are used. As a courtesy for people on tight budgets, we collect take off springs from surrounding shops and give them out to customers in need. Springs are black, and usually have scratches and dings, They may also have dirt on them. The springs do not come with any warranty and are provided at no charge, but are as is. If you wish to have NEW springs you may instead purchase the kit with out the springs and the Dobinsons C59-323 Coils or Get a set of 4runner coils of the same year from the autoparts store.
- Check the stock, if it shows available that means that we have used springs available. If it shows out of stock we dont, unfortunately since these are used sets we have no way to guarantee getting more within any sort of time frame, so backorders are not available for these kits.
Unlike other brands of coil conversions, our kit does not create any additional lift. This is important because it directly effects the vehicles “raked stance.” Rake is the term used to describe a stance, where the vehicle is taller in the rear than it is in the front. On the GX the factory stance is a 1″ rake, meaning that the rear of the truck sits 1″ taller than the front at standard ride height. When converting to coils, you gain the opportunity to either reduce this rake and level the vehicle, or retain the rake and keep the factory stance; depending on the coil conversion kit and springs used. By using a coil conversion kit that creates additional lift, you limit your ability to level the truck out significantly.
